The third generation Mac Pro returned to an updated aluminum tower enclosure in 2019 with added airflow holes, adopting the nickname of the first generation: 'cheesegrater'. Outwardly, the first generation Mac Pro resembled the last version of the Power Mac G5, and has similar expansion capabilities. The Mac Pro, in most configurations, is the fastest computer that Apple offers, and is one of four desktop computers in the current Macintosh lineup, the other two being the iMac, the iMac Pro, and Mac Mini.
